More than 800 seminarians from 22 theology seminaries all over the Philippines congregated in the province of Bulacan for the Kapatiran 2018 with the theme, “Banderitas: Sama-samang Tinawag, Sama-samang Mamamansag” last March 4, 2017. The Immaculate Conception Major Seminary (ICMAS) – Graduate School of Theology hosted this year’s gathering.

Alumnus Cardinal Gaudencio Rosales (58) formally opened the event by presiding over the Eucharistic Celebration at the St. Augusting Parish, Baliuag, Bulacan. He reminded seminarians about their vocation to mirror God’s goodness in the world today.

Preacher Bo Sanchez and veteran broadcaster Jessica Soho also delivered keynote presentations on the passion for evangelization and the communication of truth.

Different festivals of Bulacan province were also highlighted in the arrival ceremonies. Team building activities were also held in the afternoon to foster brotherhood and camaraderie among seminarians. Seminarians’ Network of the Philippines secretariat also conducted a meeting among seminary formators.

Sem. Charneil D. Laparan (Marbel) is the national secretariat of the SEMNET for 2017-2018.

Kapatiran 2019 will be hosted by Mary Help of Christians Theology Seminary in San Fabian, Pangasinan.

For 26 years, the Diocesan Seminarians’ Network of the Philippines (SemNet) has been organizing the event for the purpose of strengthening a community that is always vigilant especially in its involvement in socio-political advocacies from which it is originated since 1992 elections.
