Support San Jose Seminary

feature3

Since 1601, San Jose Seminary has formed hundreds of Filipino priests for ministry in many different dioceses.

Run by the Society of Jesus, San Jose Seminary gives its young formands a college education at the Ateneo de Manila University and intensive courses at the Jesuit-run Loyola School of Theology. The seminarians also receive spiritual formation and counseling, as well as training in different kinds of pastoral work. San Jose Seminary also serves as a residential facility for young men undergoing formation for the priesthood.

Over the years, San Jose alumni have been assigned to parishes and formation institutes across the country and around the world. Their training is such that they are also sought out as formators in other Filipino seminaries. Some are called to serve the Philippine Church hierarchy. At present, San Jose Seminary alumni include 7 bishops, 2 archbishops, and 3 of the 4 living cardinals of the Philippines.

Aside from your prayers, you can help us by sending your contributions for the formation of seminarians. Your gift will be of great help in continuing our vision for forming diocesan priests ready to be ministers of the word and sacrament as well as equipped in facing the challenges of the times.
